Never underestimate the importance of having fun. – Randy Pausch, American professor of computer science, human-computer interaction and design; The Last Lecture

When I was growing up in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, there was a small children’s amusement park just down the road from my house and it was called Lollipop Park. The miniature steam locomotive and 1,200 feet of track wound their way through the park, neatly manicured and accented with zinnias and petunias. The boat ride, bumper cars and helicopters thrilled all the neighborhood children. It closed in 1973, but I still have such fond memories of the excitement of those memories.

PATTERN NOTES:
This is a checklist pattern; each row is written out for ease of execution. The colorwork sections are done in charts (shown on the last page.) If you are using white as a contrast color, please be sure to do a color test of your main color by wetting it in a sink of cool water for 5-10 minutes to ensure it won’t run.
