About the Pattern: This beautiful “readers wrap” or wide scarf features ribbed knit-look pockets where you can tuck a favorite book away for safe-keeping. The edges are decorated with several tassels.
Finished Size: You may vary the width and length of the scarf as desired. Sample scarf was approx. 15” wide x 70” long.
Materials:
• DK or medium worsted weight yarn in color of choice – approx. 1000 yards (sample yarn is listed as DK but worked up more like a medium worsted weight yarn.)
• Crochet hook size H (5.0 mm)
• Yarn needle for sewing pockets in place
Skill Level: Intermediate
Stitches used include: ch, hdc, dc, fpdc, knit-look rib stitch (for pockets)
Pattern is written in standard American crochet terms.
