Finished size: 18cm tall, 19cm long
All parts are knitted flat and sewn up at the end.
A pair of double-pointed needle is useful to create i-cords for small gnome arms, but you can work with single-point needles. I-cord instructions are included in the text. The crochet hook is to make chains and does not need to be precisely 3mm.
The knitting skills needed are basic knit and purl techniques; however, you might find the assembly process to be somewhat complex. Having prior experience in toy and doll making will be advantageous. Assembly instructions are provided with photographs.
The seagull’s legs are crafted from wire and a cardboard plate. Additionally, the feet are weighted with a coin to enhance stability.
The gnome carries a net made of a knitted piece with a wire ring attached to a twig.
The project calls for small amounts of DK yarn. Feel free to use your stash.
