Little Edo
A more fitted, cropped version of the Edo jacket (from the same book), the style of this knitted lace jacket is based on the traditionally-simple Japanese hanten jacket. Lower body is worked in one piece to the armholes; then back and fronts are divided and worked separately to the shoulders. Sleeves are worked back and forth in rows, then attached to the body by binding off the live sleeve sts together with sts picked up around the armhole opening, using the three-needle bind-off method.
Sizing notes: The jacket has a loose fit (4-6” / 10-15 cm of ease). The size of the jacket is determined by the needle size - the larger size is made using larger needles. For this reason, doing a gauge swatch is very important!
