Little Cars Beanie Hat
What little boy wouldn’t love this fun little beanie with little cars that drive around it…Toot Toot!
These picture knits are worked flat and seamed for easy intarsia knitting. If you are a new knitter and not quite ready to work in intarsia this time, you can turn this pattern into a simple project by Swiss darning (duplicate stitching) the little cars onto your beanie after knitting.
This knitting pattern has instructions for the following sizes:
6-8lbs (0-3m, 3-6m, 6-12m, 1-2 yrs, 3-5 years)
Choose any 4 Ply or sport weight yarn that knits on 3.25mm (US3) needles to the tension listed below.
The little beanie shown here was knitted in Bergere De France Caline 4ply.
Other recommended yarns are Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino (UK) and Valley Superwash Sport (US)

10cms/4 inches = 25-26sts

Newborn 6-8 lbs
27-30cms (10 3/4 -12ins)
0-3 months
30-34cms (12-13 1/2ins)

46-51cms (18–20ins)
You will need:
A pair of 3.25mm (US3) single pointed needles
Grey = 25 (30, 35, 40, 45, 50) gm
Orange = 0 (5, 5, 5, 5, 5) gm NOTE: This colour is not required for size 6-8lbs
Red = 5 (5, 5, 5, 10, 10) gm
Green = 5 (5, 5, 5, 5, 5) gm
Blue = 5 (5, 5, 5, 5, 5) gm
White = 10 (10, 10, 10, 10, 10) gm
Black = 5 (5, 5, 5, 5, 5) gm
Darning/tapestry needle.
