Little Bunny Friend
This is a pattern for a small bunny about 8 inches high when knitted in worsted weight yarn. It also includes instructions for the overalls. Gauge and yarn weight don’t really matter as long as you get a dense fabric so that the stuffing doesn’t show through. Thicker yarn will give you a larger bunny and thinner yarn will yield a smaller bunny. I’ve included a lot of pictures to make the pattern easier to follow. I hope you will have fun knitting this bunny.
ERRATA
Two lines in the original pattern were incorrect, the corrected version is the version available on Ravelry currently. The corrected directions are as follows.
In the directions for the head and body
line 37 has a typo needle 1 should read (k1, KRL)x2, k2, KRL, k1 not (k1, k1r)x2, k2, KRL, k1
line 41 was missing increases for needles 1 and 2 and should read needle 1 k1, (KRL, k4)x2, KRL, k2, needle 2 k2, (KLL, k4)x2, KLL, k1, needle 3 k3, KLL, k4, KRL, k3
In the directions for the right leg the fourth sentence has an incorrect needle listed and should read:
Start of the round is between needle 3 and needle 1.
CLARIFICATION
The tail is designed to be knit in the round. Although if you already knit it flat and seamed it up that makes a cute garter stitch tail. A big thank you to the knitter who let me know that my pattern did not say to knit the tail in the round. It is corrected in the current version.
A knitter has commented that the eyes would be easier with a longer piece of yarn and that’s a good point, if you cut the yarn a few inches longer it is easier to tie the knot for the eyes. Thank you for pointing this out. This has been changed in the current pattern.
