Little Baa Baa Rib Hat
An adorable little lamb hat to knit for the spring!
Due to lots of requests this hat has separate instructions to knit this hat either:
FLAT AND SEAMED on single pointed needles OR/ IN THE ROUND on DPNS
Work the pictures in intarsia for flat and seamed knits (working back and forth)
If you are a new knitter and not quite ready to work in intarsia this time, or you are knitting this hat in the round, simply Swiss darn (duplicate stitch) the little lambs onto your hat after knitting.
This knitting pattern has instructions for the following sizes:
6-8lbs (0-3m, 3-6m, 6-12m, 1-2 yrs, 3-4 yrs, 5-8 years)
Choose any sport yarn that knits on 3.25mm (US3) needles to the tension listed below. Recommended yarns are Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino, Rowan Baby Cashsoft Merino, or Valley Yarns Superwash Sport.
The little hats in the first 2 photos were knitted in Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino Colours: Citrus, White and Black. The last photo shows this hat knitted in Rowan Baby Cashsoft Merino.
