> Line of Sight

Line of Sight
Line of Sight is a striped asymmetric triangle with a difference - the stripes change direction depending on your point of view.
The body of the knitting is worked in shadow knitting - simple stripes with a knit/purl pattern on the right side that create stripes only visible at an angle - edged by a pretty cable panel of slipped stitches and mini cables and slowly widening reverse garter border.
What I love about this technique is that it reminds me that sometimes there is no one right perspective, which is a nice reminder to tread more gently or soften a judgement.
This shawl is ideal for showing off two contrasting skeins such as Gobsmacked dappled gradients, a funky duet of solids, or a solid paired with a gradient yarn for dynamic results.
Allow a little more yardage for MC than CC. This fingering weight sample used 385m (420y) of orange/brown (MC), and 370m (400y) of green (CC).
