This is the doily on the cover with additional photographs on page 18. It is a round doily with a floral motif, 60 cm in diameter, and worked in #80 thread. The pattern is knit from 3 charts: charts 18 & 19 on page 49 and chart 20 on page 47. There are a total of 126 rounds to complete the doily.

Then knit round 127 and purl rounds 128 and 129 (this is noticed in the written text of the pattern sheet from Kunst-Stricken Band 1, Reprint).

There are no written directions. The chart key is translated into English. The original text from the 1926 edition is in German with limited additional information added in English.

Lindenblüte means lime tree blossom in German.

Errata:
R50: k1, p1, k1, p1, k1 into double yarn over, 5 sts instead of the 4 shown in the chart.
R63: Chart shows no sts in between Mussel sts. It should be Mussel st, k4, Mussel st.
R96: start round by moving marker one stitch to the right, adding the last stitch of R95 to the beginning of R96.
R107: end each repeat by adding k2 (12 sts per repeat).
R120-126: The English notes on Chart 20 imply the marker (and therefore the start of each round) be moved on each round from R120-R126. Only the pattern rows need to be shifted, i.e. R120, R122, R124, and R126.

The photo of the red doily by Maia has a few modifications: the Mussel stitches were replaced with nupps and the edge is slightly altered. Please view that project for more information.
