The story goes like this. I was in my room during the quarantine time, and I wanted to have a drink. Then I remembered I bought a mini bottle of Limoncello but never tried it. The next day I put ice in my glass and poured down the Limoncello. I loved it! How was I living without it? I don’t know.
It was refreshing, especially since it’s very hot here in Costa Rica during the weeks close to Holy Week.
I was knitting the sample in a yellow yarn, and one of my best knitting friends said “You should name it Limoncello Shawl”. So there you go, this is a story of a shawl inspired in a drink that was new to me but so delicious. I
This shawl was a Knit A Long I did on Instagram during March-April 2020.
Great stash buster project, modify as you want, incorporate several colors if you want. I
Finished Size (you can make it longer)
213 cms or 83”
Materials:
You can use other yarn weights like fingering or dk and keep working until a desired length. Since this is not a garment, fit is not that important.
Yarn: 300 yards of Worsted Weight yarn.
Needles: US 8/ 5mm circular needles.

Skill Level Beginner: for this pattern you must know how to do the long tail cast on, knit, purl, yarn over, increase, decrease, slip markers and differentiate a knit stitch from a purl stitch.

Gauge:
15 sts x, 24 rows = 4” (10cm) using US 8/ 5 mm needles in stockinette stitch.
