Liberty Banner
When you look straight at the knitting you only see stripes; when you look from an angle you can see that it says LIBERTY.
This free pattern is part of a larger pattern that will be coming soon. Perhaps you can guess what it might be.
The banner shown in the photos is approximately 18 cm x 68 cm (7” x 27”). It was made using 85 metres (90 yards) Stylecraft Special DK in Silver and 135 metres (150 yards) in Claret. You can use any yarn but a thicker, or thinner, yarn might change the overall size.
The banner is the ideal width to be extended and made into a scarf.
It is very difficult to photograph illusions which is why the colours don’t look the same in both photos. They are of the same banner.
