Lemuel the Bat
by Stacey Trock
Sept 2011: Now updated to include instructions for adding buggy eyes!
In real life, bats can be a little scary… but not this guy! He’s soft with big wings, and ready to celebrate Halloween! Best of all, there’s no risk of rabies! Lemuel measures 8.5 inches tall when completed.
To complete this pattern, you will need:
- size H (5 mm) crochet hook
- 3 colors of worsted weight yarn (less than a skein of each): black, tan and white
- polyester stuffing
- two 12mm blue animal eyes
- tapestry needle
This is an intermediate pattern: you will need to do increases & decreases, change colors and detailed shaping.
As with all our patterns, the pdf contains progress photos to keep you on track. Feel free to email me anytime for help!
