Leave your worries behind - MKAL
The pattern was originally for an MKAL, but is now also available as a consolidated pattern with charts for those who prefer to work from charts. The original mystery files are still available - they contain extra info that some knitters may find useful.
This is the type of pattern that requires you to focus - but in the good mind-clearing sort of way.
I think it’s perfect for our troubled times.
It’s for a hat and works well with solids, semi-solids or malabrigo type yarns - I would not recommend space-dyed or striping yarns.
Sport, DK or worsted to get gauge of 19sts per 10cm/4” - Arroyo, Caprino and Rios all worked well.
I’ve indicated 19sts for the gauge - but you can make it anywhere between 18 and 20 sts - the style is quite forgiving - use the tighter gauge (20) for a slightly smaller hat; or the looser gauge (18) for a slightly larger hat.
