Leaf Pattern Fingerless Mittens
Leaf Pattern Fingerless Mittens
These fingerless mittens are a very quick knit. The mittens are worked in the round on double-pointed needles, and feature a single leaf motif on the back of the hand, worked in purl stitches on a background of knit. Short rows increase the height at the index finger side. The yarn used is one of my favourites, Snaeldan 2-ply (available from Midwinter Yarns: https://www.midwinteryarns.com/) – a pure wool fingering-weight yarn; the colours are so deep and rich. This one is Bilberry.
A pair of Leaf Pattern Fingerless Mittens uses less than 50g of yarn. Three sizes are given: 17 (18.5) 20 cm (measured round, above the thumb).
The Leaf Pattern Beret and the Leaf Pattern Fingerless Mittens make a matching set.
