Layering Shrug
Pattern also available through Loop in London website.
This is a versatile shrug that can be made up in a variety of yarns.
It was originally designed for BC Garn’s Jaipur silk Fino which is a lace weight yarn. It is delicate and lacy in this yarn. It takes two 50gm cones of the silk in the main colour plus one optional cone in a second colour for the trim.
It’s also possible to use a more practical yarn like linen in a heavier weight using exactly the same pattern. The pattern works equally well for either a fingering or dk weight yarn or a laceweight yarn as they each have a great drape.
Errata: July 14, 2010
There was a mistake in the key to the chart, where the symbols for k2tog and ssk were switched. This has now been corrected.
