Inspired by the picturesque landscapes and fragrant lavender fields of Provence, this shawl captures the essence of serene walks through the French countryside. Imagine yourself meandering through sun-drenched fields, with the intoxicating scent of lavender filling the air. It’s this very ambiance that it’s woven into every stitch of this shawl.
The construction of this shawl is quite unusual: it is started from the bottom point and worked as a mitered square, i.e. with double increases along the center, until it reaches the necessary width. Then the work is splitted into two “wings”that are worked separately and shaped with central decreases to maintain the simmetry of the “branches” until the final points.
