This pattern was designed exclusively for the TFA Year In Colour Club, May 2014, featuring the custom colour ‘Mellow’ in Tanis Fiber Arts Red Label Cashsilk single ply.

The shawl has a raw, rolled edge at the neckline, and the weight of the lace will prevent it from rolling too much. If you really dislike rolled edges, then you could work a 2 stitch garter edge from the beginning to prevent rolling, and increase an extra 2 stitches into the body of the shawl to compensate. Please note that this will increase your yardage, and make sure you have enough extra yarn on hand to cover it. If you add the extra stitches and have the gauge listed in the pattern, that will likely be another 30 yards.
