Lanthir Lamath
The Lanthir Lamath pattern is also available in ‘Novel Knits’, a book celebrating British Literature in stitches.
Please note: Lanthir Lamath was one of my earliest designs. The pattern needs updating to reflect the clarity of writing and quality of presentation I have developed since, hence the low price.
In Sindarin (a Tolkien elvish language) ‘Lanthir Lamath’ means ‘waterfall of echoing voices’.
To reflect it’s name this hooded scarf features a cascade of Celtic style twisted stitch cables.
The pattern includes charts for all the cable elements with line-by-line written instructions accompanying each chart. Clear written instructions explain how to form the hood.
The wide range of yardage given accommodates the fact that cabling tension varies considerably from one person to the next.
Please note that the scarf incporporates a unique increase. A video tutorial for this increase may be found here.
The scarf was orginally released in weekly parts at my blog for a KAL in my Ravelry group. You may like to read the posts there for any help and advice with the techniques involved.
The pattern is offered in A4 and letter size files and comprises 8 pages.
