Lady Heather 7-Way Wear Shawl
Inspired by a collection of Japanese lace pattern samples, this unusual shawl can be worn at least seven different ways, depending on how you button it: a wrap, a shawl, a scarf (two ways), a long-sleeved shrug, a cardigan and a waistcoat! As a cardigan or shrug the shawl is worn with 5-15 inches/ 12.5-37.5cm positive ease; three widths and two lengths therefore accommodate a wide range of body types. Knitted back-and-forth from the bottom up in one piece. Pattern is charted with additional information on sizing & finishing/ wearing. Suitable for a moderately skilled knitter with some lace experience.

DIMENSIONS & SIZING
Pattern is written for small (s) with alterations for the medium (m) and large (l) sizes in parentheses. There are two options on length, short (S) and long (L). The choice of length is made after row 212, with the shorter scarf giving a more flattering cardigan/ waistcoat for 32” busts or smaller but with a subsequent loss in sleeve length if worn as a shrug. It is recommended that you fold & pin a sheet as per the dimensions/ methods of wear (below) to confirm your best fit before commencing knitting.
