Fitted shell with asymetrical V-neck, vertically patterned angled lace collar and lace edging at hemline.

This fitted shell is a balance of simple beauty and just enough detail to hold your focus. The asymmetrical V-neck places the vertically patterned lace collar at an artistic angle. The lace adds softness and visual interest to the stockinette body. If you want a more casual look, simply omit the lace collar for a not-so basic shell—just pick up the required number of stitches around the neck, purl one round, knit one round, then bind off all the stitches purlwise. Try pairing this top with another sweater … a knitted kimono, perhaps? (Interweave)
