This warm, stranded colorwork hat is knit in the round with worsted weight yarn. A slipped-stitch pattern is used as edging and to separate the body of the hat from the flat crown.
Each of the 3 color work motifs is illustrated by a different chart, with single-color, stockinette stitch rounds between the different motifs. Crown decreases are incorporated into the third color work motif by centre double decreases (cdds).
