Kodiak Island Swoncho
Here’s an easy to knit Swoncho — a garment with the wearable ease of a poncho, but with short side seams that give it the fit of a relaxed sweater vest. This versatile top knits up quickly and can be easily layered with your favorite shirt or tee.
Yarn: Worsted weight, 876 yards.
(Seen here in Manos De Uruguay Maxima).
Needle: 32” Circular Size 7
(or size needed for a gauge of 16 stitches = 4”
in blocked Stockinette stitch)
Stitch markers, stitch holders.
Approximate finished measurement: 52” bust
Pattern Stitches Needed: Garter and Stockinette
Additional Skills used: 3-needle bind off, wrap and turn.
