Yarn: 5 skeins of The Meri Wool by We Are Knitters (100% superwash merino, 149 yds / 136 m – 100 g), colourway Spotted Green. If you decide to use another yarn, you will need approx. 740 yds / 677 m of chunky-weight yarn.

17 sts x 20 rows to 4” / 10 cm in Stockinette Stitch, after blocking.

CONSTRUCTION
This scarf is worked from side to side from the bottom up. Letters are created with Stockinette Stitch on a Reverse Stockinette Stitch background. A border worked in Garter Stitch adds structure and prevents the edges from rolling.

MODIFICATIONS
The length is easily adjustable. Make fewer or more repeats to make the scarf shorter or longer. Make sure to always work a full 20-row repeat to keep the stitch pattern and text intact.
