Children in South Africa have very few, if any, play things. This teddy will be a wonderful companion for a lonely child. It will provide many hours of comfort and imaginative play. Teddy’s height is approximately 30 cm/12 inches.

Materials needed:-

• Light worsted (American)
• Double knitting (UK)
• 8 ply (Australia)
• 3.5 mm or 4 US needles.
• Stitch holder/large safety pin
• Yarn needle
• Polyfill stuffing

No gauge given. However almost any medium-thick yarn would do. Just remember to knit on slightly smaller needles than usual for that yarn so that the stuffing doesn’t show through.
