This is a pdf knitting pattern written in English,
This bonnet is worked flat in one piece, beginning at the lower edge and shaped gradually to form the crown. Stitches are then picked up along the front opening to work a 2x2 rib trim. The striped pattern is created by alternating 2-row and 8-row bands in contrasting yarns.

Designed for a blown Aran or worsted weight yarn such as Drops Air, and worked on 6mm needles (or size needed to obtain gauge). The hood can also be made using any chunky, warm yarn with a soft handle. The pattern uses only basic knit and purl stitches, making it suitable for beginners and an ideal introduction to shaping, picking up stitches, and working simple stripes.
