King Salmon is knit from the top down in the round featuring short row shaping for the back neck and a bold salmon yoke motif. The yoke is intentionally quite deep for this design (see schematic for full fit details) so I recommend an oversized fit for the intended look and comfort. Sizing down below the recommended positive ease is not recommended for this style.

This design is unisex and size inclusive and can be modified for your perfect body and sleeve lengths as desired.

Gauge:
18 sts and 26 rounds = 4”/10 cm in stockinette and colorwork fabric on main needle after blocking.

Note - You should always knit your swatch the same way that the pattern is knit—in this case, in the round. Block your swatch as you will your finished garment and allow it to dry fully before measuring.
Some knitters also need to adjust needle size between colorwork and stockinette to maintain gauge.

Sizes:
Measurements given are for the finished garment. This sweater is designed to fit with 6-15”/ 15.5-38 cm of positive ease at the chest. For a closer fit choose a size smaller than recommended, making sure that the sleeve measurement will still fit. Sample shown is a size 2 on a 34”/ 86.5 cm chest, with 6” / 15.5 cm of positive ease.
