Kiku Dragon Shawl

Kiku 菊 is Japanese for Chrysanthemum.

Scale-like dimensional texture, with equally interesting reverse.
These scale (or petal!) segments are not only dimensional but overlap a bit and flex like armor plates.

Kiku features curved arcs of scales of descending size. Worked flat on long circular needles, lower edge up to center top.

Advanced Lace Skills:
Standard lace stitches, plus special stitches (ICDD and directional yo closures).

Increase, decrease, and directional yo closures occur on both sides of work.

ICDD(p), k, p2tog, p, ssp2tog tbl, slip, yo, YO tw R(p) & L(p).
