Kid Mohair Lace Caplet
Light as a feather, this caplet is eye-catching and exudes the luxuriousness of this hand-dyed Canadian kid mohair fibre. The key to its drape is the shaping and its simplicity - A simple garter band separating a simple lace pattern. A faux button band with vintage buttons completes this lovely design.
The button band is created by making two pleats on each end of the caplet. The edge stitches are then picked up with a much smaller needle. Buttonholes can be made but are not necessary to make. Vintage buttons are from my Mom’s button collection and have great sentimental value.
The beautiful hand dyed yarn (Orappa Creek Yarns, Edmonton, Alberta) and pattern is available as a kit and can be purchased here online store.
