This top-down triangular shawl with its simple zig-zag lines (in texture or lace, your choice) is a quick an easy knit. The beads in the border give it weight, and you can choose a contrasting color for an extra zing.

The textured chart works best in a solid or semi-solid color. The lace chart works well with a yarn with a little more color variation.

Samples were knit in both fingering and lace weight yarns, and the size of the shawl can be increased by repeating the body chart. A small fingering weight version uses less than 100g (430yd/393m), and a large lace version uses less than 100g (785yd/718m).

Small textured sample: 2 repeats of textured body chart with less than 100g (430yds/393m) of Indigodragonfly Merino Silk 4 ply sock yarn in Kathleen Turner Overdrive

Large textured sample: 4 repeats of textured body chart with less than 100g (785 yd/718m) of Cascade Yarns Forest Hills in Chili Pepper.

Large lace sample: 4 repeats of lace body chart with less than 100g (800yd/732m) of Indigodragonfly Merino Single Lace in Kelp is on the way
