This type of hat falls somewhere between the traditional tam o’ shanter military cap and the beret, with the distinctive flat shape that falls to one side as you wear it. A great pattern for beginner knitters, this hat knits up quickly and is a great way to practice your knits and purls while adding a few new techniques into your knitting repertoire.
