Kayenta Hat is inspired by the spectacular landscape of Arizona’s desert. The Kayenta Formation is a reddish-brown geologic layer of sandstone that appears mostly in the northern part of the state’s national parks. The stones form striking spire-like vertical cliffs reaching up 2,000 ft or more – a natural beauty not to be missed!

The hat is worked in the round from the bottom up.
Pattern includes both beanie and watch cap variations.

Needles
For ribbing and optional tubular cast on: US 4 / 3.5 mm circular needle, 16”/ 40 cm length
For main fabric: US 6 / 4.0 mm circular, 16”/ 40 cm length and double-pointed needles or needles to work small circumference in the round.
Always use a needle size that will result in the correct gauge after blocking.
