Construction Notes
Kanti Mama begins with a provisional cast-on at the center of the back collar. The left back collar is worked, then the left shoulder stitches are cast on and the left front is knit from the top down to the underarm and placed on a holder. The right back collar stitches are picked up from the provisional cast-on edge, then knit to the shoulder. The right shoulder stitches are cast on and the right front is knit from the top down to the underarm. The back shoulder stitches are picked up from the front shoulder and collar edges and knit down to the underarm. The back and fronts are joined at the underarm and the body is knit down.

Sleeve stitches are picked up around the armholes. Sleeve caps are shaped with some short-rows, then the sleeve is knit in the round to the cuff. There are two sleeve length options: a cap sleeve (as shown), or long sleeves.

Pattern includes:
• Written and charted instructions for the lace and cable panel
• Links to a photo tutorial for the cable stitch, and for the provisional cast-on method recommended
• A detailed schematic
• An illustration to help with the unique construction
• Instructions for cap and long sleeves, knit in k2, p2 ribbing or Stockinette stitch.
• 8 pages of detailed, tech edited and test-knit instructions
• Beautiful color photography by Carrie Bostick Hoge.
