Kamperfoelie Socks
Sometimes sock patterns can be so addicting. One design leads to the next and that one leads to the following. These Kamperfoelie socks are a new twist to the original sock pattern that I designed a year ago for the annual Sock Madness.
That first pair (All the B’s) had a crazy amount of beads, brioche, bumps and bobbles. The next design (No B’s) turned out to be a shorter sock but nevertheless sophisticated. And while I was finishing off that pair I decided I had to try the pattern one more time, but now using 2 colours on the leg section. The “helix” style striping of the 2 colours gives this pattern a completely new look. I think they’ll be a great way to use those special yarns that come with a contrasting colour mini skein.
And why the name Kamperfoelie? Well, I just was looking at the bush in my garden where the honeysuckle is just beginning to blossom. Such a pretty flower and the bees love it too!
