The Jupiter Shawl is a relaxing asymmetric shawl pattern, in a combination of stripes in garter stitch and lace, starting from your upper right tip and worked sideways towards the left edge.

FINISHED SIZES
~190 x 45 cm/76 x 18 in (wingspan x depth)

YARDAGE
Approximately. a total of 530 m/580 yd of fingering weight yarn.

COLOR A: 200 m/220 yd
Sample shows Knit Picks Hawthorne Speckle Hand Paint 80% wool 20% nylon 326m/100g (357 yd/3.5 oz) in colorway Jupiter 27216.
COLOR B: 330 m/360 yd
Sample shows Michell & Cia Indiecita Natural Colours 100% alpaca 167 m/50 g (183 yd/1.75 oz) skein in colorway Blanco Invierno 100.

If you want to substitute your yarn, I recommend working with different fibers, maybe one with more halo than the other, or playing with different yarn weights, i.e. fingering for yarn A and lace for B.

NEEDLES
3.75 mm/US 5 or size needed to obtain gauge
Circular needles with 80 cm/32 in cable length are recommended to accommodate all stitches comfortably.

NOTIONS & TOOLS
blocking tools of your preference, scissors, tapestry needle

GAUGE
18 stitches x 32 rows in 10 x 10 cm/4 x 4 in after blocking in garter stitch.

Even though gauge is not crucial to this project, changes in it will affect your yardage requirements and your final dimensions.
