The Junior Wartime Farm Sleeveless Pullover is perfect for the little ones in your life. It is a mini version of the ever-popular Wartime Farm Sleeveless Pullover which appeared on the BBC TV programme The Wartime Farm. This delightful little garment is knitted in the round from the bottom up in all-over stranded colourwork (also known as Fair Isle knitting) up to the underarm. Two options are then provided – the first with instructions to knit the upper body flat in two section: separated into front and back sections which are worked back and forth and a second option to knit the upper body in one piece in the round: with steeks added to armholes and front V-neck.

The Junior Wartime Farm Sleeveless Pullover is knitted using Susan Crawford Excelana North fingering weight a soft, fingering weight 100% British wool, spun for us in nearby Yorkshire and hand-dyed at our Lake District studio.

The sample shown in photographs is the first size, to fit 3–4 years 58½cm (23in) chest.

The pattern includes instructions to fit ages from 3 to 8 years of age and contains both clear written pattern directions, together with charted instructions for the all-over colourwork pattern plus a comprehensive schematic diagram and sizing chart.

Yarn kits are available at Susan Crawford Vintage.
