Juhla
Juhla provides a feeling of joy and absolute comfort. Because our Big Merino Hug and the pleasant volume of the main part knitted in garter stitch give the slightly oversized sweater by designer Allison Jane a wonderfully cosy texture. The generous cable pattern is a real eye-catcher, yet easy to knit. Juhla is the right choice for you if you are looking for cosy winter warmth and a relaxed knitting experience, and want to make quick progress with a thicker yarn. The timeless colour Edelweiss enhances the classic yet casual look.
Juhla is knitted in the round, from the bottom up. You start with the ribbed hem and then knit the main part in garter stitch and the centred front cable panel until the underarms, allowing you to adapt the length to your preferences by adding or omitting repeats. Front and back are then continued separately and knitted flat. Short rows shape the shoulder drop, while cast-off and decreased stitches shape the front neck. After joining the shoulders with a 3-needle cast-off, you pick up the sleeve stitches around the arm openings working the arms in the round to the cuffs. For the cable panel, you can either follow the charts or the written instructions.
The year 2022 is a very special one for us - we look back on 10 years of Rosy Green Wool. Time to remember and also to celebrate. Our collection this year is therefore called Decade. The individual designs honour our anniversary with their names in different languages. Juhla means Celebration in Finnish.
