Fall 2024 Deborah Newton x Manos del Uruguay Collection
Deborah Newton brings a wealth of texture and color to our Fall 2024 collection, each piece with its own carefully thought out details. They all reward close examination - dive in to see for yourself!
//
Bands of colorful garter stitch accent this pullover worked from the bottom up, while a simple allover texture stitch echoes the colorwork at the yoke to unify the design. Deborah’s choice of the bright and cheery Carnaval for the colorwork pattern is nicely contrasted with the deeper tones of Eggplant as the MC -- though we can easily imagine this all-gender piece in a million other color combinations.

21½ and 24 rnds = 4”/10 cm in stranded St st colorwork chart patterns using larger needles.
NOTES
The lower body and sleeves are worked in the round from the bottom up, then joined for working the yoke in the round to the neck edge. The underarm stitches are grafted during finishing.
The back yoke has short rows to lengthen the upper back. Adjust needle size if your gauge in the textured pattern worked in rows is different from working in the round. Increase needle size if the gauge in your stranded colorwork areas is tighter than the intended gauge.
