Jethro the Australian Shepherd
Inspired by 2024’s winner of Crufts, Jethro the Australian Shepherd is a lively and faithful member of the menagerie who will teach you the ‘loop stitch’ and ‘colour change’ crochet techniques. Australian Shepherds, fondly known as ‘Aussies’ by their families, are in fact most popular in the USA where they have been an iconic part of cowboy culture as well as working in therapy, service, search-and-rescue and drug detection.
TOFT’s Edward’s Menagerie collection is a series of crochet amigurumi toys designed by Kerry Lord. This crochet animal kit contains TOFT’s quality pure wool yarn and an easy-to-follow downloadable pattern. There are video links for all the crochet stitches and techniques used in the pattern to get you started and help you complete your toy. Share your progress with the TOFT community on Instagram @toft_uk using the #edsanimals hashtag.
YOU WILL NEED: To complete your crochet dog you will need a few added extras including a 3mm crochet hook, toy stuffing and a wool needle. Find everything you need in our haberdashery section or upgrade to a complete kit which includes all of the above!
MEASUREMENTS: When finished your Australian Shepherd will be approximately 27cm tall from feet to top of ears.
SKILL LEVEL 3: This kit is more suitable for those with some crochet experience.
IT WILL TAKE: Approximately 5-10 hours crochet time.
