Jatoba is one of two hiccup rib designs – its sister is Jarrah (Long Vest) in DK weight and with deep, slanted pockets.

Jatoba Jakke is a tailored cropped Ziggurat cardigan or jacket with overlapping fronts and a generous shawl collar – or not! There is also a short-collar version in the pattern.

This is the perfect between-the-seasons sweater. The handdyed yarn from TheDanishDyelot is dreamily soft and warm and cushy.

There is (optional) simple colourwork on the back. The Ziggurat shoulder is tailored but the overall fit is relaxed, even swingy.

• Ziggurat: everything is knitted in one go, top to bottom, starting with the collar
• no seaming
• no finishing work – bind off and you are done (as in done-done) As usual, there’s a Helpful Table to keep track of increases from shoulder to underarm cast-on.
