Japanese Diamond Shawl
by Laura Barker
This triangular wrap begins
with a small i-cord cast-on. The
i-cord selvedges and smocked
Japanese lace grow from the
cast-on. The final border is
worked partly with short rows
to create the wavy edge, and
partly with an i-cord cast-off.
Although the shawl is worked
flat, circular needles are
necessary to work the initial
rows, and to accommodate the
final st count.
