Knit in an easy to work, easy to memorize stitch pattern, January Thaw is reminiscent of clotted icicles melting from the eaves on a warmer winter day. Worked from one point to the other edge, the shawl’s open and textured stitch pattern is beautifully appropriate for all seasons. Working it in a different weight of yarn or to a different finished size is just a matter of working the body stitch until you are happy with the size and then changing to the border instructions. The wrong side (shown in the second-to-last photo) is also very attractive, making the shawl reversible.

All sections are both written and charted.
