Knitting Pattern for an Oversized Cable Sweater with a V Neck, A Collar in 1x1 Ribbing and a Boxy Fit in Sizes XS/S | M/L (XL/2XL | 3XL/4XL) 5XL.

Structure:
The sweater is worked top down in cable pattern in one piece. First of all, the back part is worked back and forth in rows and with increases to shape the shoulders. As soon as the total number of stitches is reached, the back part is put to rest and stitches for the front panels are picked up along the back part. The front panels are first worked separately to shape the V neck with increases. When the two front parts are joined at the V neck, the front part is finished off in one piece. Finally, when the front part has reached its final length, front and back part are joined to the round by casting on new stitches under each armpit. The body of the sweater is then finished in cable pattern in the round with a hem in 1x1 (twisted) ribbing. Afterwards, stitches for the sleeves are picked up along the armholes and the sleeves are worked in cable pattern in the round as well – and finished off with cuffs in 1x1 (twisted) ribbing. Last but not least, stitches along the neckline are picked up and a collar in 1x1 (twisted) ribbing is worked along the V neck.

6 mm and 3.5 mm circular knitting needles (optional: DPNs/short knitting needles for the sleeves/cuffs), cable needle
1 darning needle

Knitting Tension:
10x10 cm = 15 sts x 24 rs with 2 strands of yarn held together on 6 mm knitting needles in cable pattern (wet blocked)

Measurements:
Bust Circumference Finished Sweater:
120 | 140 (160 | 180) 200 cm with a positive Ease of 30 to 40 cm.
Length Finished Sweater:
51 | 52,5 (57 | 58) 62 cm (+ 3-4 cm hem) – can be adapted individually. You then might need more or less yarn than indicated in the pattern.
Sleeve Length (from the armpits):
38 cm (+ 6 cm cuffs) – can be adapted individually. You then might need more or less yarn than indicated in the pattern.
Sleeve Circumference: 40 | 40 (40 | 50) 50 cm
