Jack the Cuddle-Sized Pumpkin
Meet Jack the Pumpkin! Jack has been waiting all summer for the moment when he would be picked from his pumpkin patch in the fall and taken to a new home. The time has finally come, and Jack can’t wait to meet his new family!
MATERIALS YOU NEED
-Worsted-weight yarn (4-ply) in orange, green, and a small amount of black for the mouth. (The U.K. equivalent is Aran, and AUS/NZ is 8 ply.) Since I designed my pumpkin several years ago, I don’t remember what brand of yarn I used for the orange. However, Red Heart Super Saver in the color “Carrot” is an excellent option if you want a burnt orange color. For a bright orange, Paintbox Yarns Simply Aran in the color “Blood Orange” is a great option. For the green stem and vines, I used Hobby Lobby’s I Love This Yarn in the color “Mid Green”.
-G (4 mm) crochet hook
-15 mm black safety eyes
-Fiberfill (or your stuffing of choice)
-Bent tip tapestry needle
-Extra-long (5 inch) tapestry needle
-Scissors
-Stitch marker
