Technique:
Embossed crochet: a combination of front post and back post double crochet

Abbreviations:
Traditionally, embossed crochet patterns only included charts and used complex abbreviations, making them less accessible. To simplify, I’ve shortened traditional abbreviations (e.g., FPdc = F, BPdc = B, FPdc2inc = F2i, FPdc2tog = F2t). While these require a brief learning curve, they are intuitive and easier to follow

This pattern includes:
Written instruction in US terms, videos for stitches and techniques, charts / graphics, step pictures.

Sizes:

• Single-wrap (double-wrap) cowl: 58.1 (116.2) cm x 23.5 cm / 22 ⅞ (45 ¾)’’ x 9 ¼’’
• Short (long) scarf: 101.7 (151.5) cm x 23.5 cm / 40 (59 ⅝)’’ x 9 ¼’’

Recommended materials:

• Fingering/ 4ply yarn such as:

• Scheepjes Metropolis (75% Merino extra fine x 25% Nylon, 50g/ 200m/ 219yds) in 019 Multan color

• Single-wrap (double-wrap) cowl: 110 (210) g / 3 (5) skeins / 482 (920) yds

• Short (long) scarf: 195 (290) g / 4 (6) skeins / 855 (1271) yds

• Crochet hooks 2.75mm and 3.25mm, tapestry needle
