ISSEY shawl
This pleated design is a long-anticipated project I dreamed of bringing to life ever since designing the ISSEY scarf a decade ago. The crisp lines of this architectural fabric easily transform into a wondrous piece of wearable art that adapts with your movement, allowing the wearer to enjoy the fluidity and warmth of the bouncy pleats. Striking angles are enhanced visually with the gradual color transitions throughout to allure any curious eye.

NOTES
The wrap is asymmetric and is worked flat with beginning short rows concurrently implementing the pleating pattern at first, then continued straight as the color changes are created by alternating previous and new colors on every single row for the transition. Then the wrap is finished by a mirrored short-rowed tip.
If you wish for your wrap to be slightly longer, you can choose to work several repeats more of Rows 1-2 of Pleated Stitch Pattern in solid sections for colors B and C.
GAUGE
