Strategically placed increases and decreases make it so you never have to move/change the placement of the center stitch marker to achieve the asymmetric shape. Garter stitch, stripes, and lace create a classic knitwear piece that can be worn boldly with speckles or bright colors vs. more reserved with beautiful neutrals.

Yarn:
Small: 1075 yards of fingering weight yarn. Shown using Dragonfly Fibers Djinni Sock (420 yd/113 g skein); 80% Merino, 10% Cashmere, 10% Nylon. 800 yds/732 m for MC (District 12) and 275 yds/251 m for CC (Hot Pants).

Large: 1450 yards of fingering weight yarn. Shown using Spun Right Round Superwash Sock 80/20 (400 yd/100 g skein); 80% Merino, 20% Nylon. 1150 yds for MC (Jump Rope) and 350 yds for CC (Electric Pop).

Finished Measurements: Approximately 52”/132 cm (58”/147 cm) in width across edge that is opposite the single point CO end (wide edge that is perpendicular to the center spine) x 84”/213 cm (89”/226 cm) in length on wider side of center spine x 68”/173 cm (76”/193 cm) in length on narrow side of center spine.

Gauge: 19 sts/40 rows = 4”/10 cm in garter after blocking. Gauge is not critical for this project, but will affect the finished size and yardage.

Needles: US#6/4.0 mm 32”/80 cm circular needle, or size needed to obtain gauge.

Notions: 2 stitch markers and a tapestry needle.
