This traditional teddy couldn’t be easier to make. From nose to toes, he’s worked in one basic stitch. Simple shaping gives him his soft round shape and there is little sewing up to do too. Full him with bean bag-beads for even more cuddle appeal. Worked throughout in garter stitch with easy increasing and decreasing for shaping.

You will need 2 x 50g balls of yarn in main colour, and 1 x 50g ball of yarn in two contrasting colours.

Additional items:
2 small grey buttons for eyes
3 small horn-effect buttons for waistcoat
Polyester toy stuffing
Approximately 100g polystyrene bean-bag beads
Small funnel
Long yarn needle
