INSE
{in-shuh} Irish: flood plain or water meadow.
At the base of the Inishowen Peninsula lies a magical place. A saltwater marshland, this modest looking network of meadows supports a thriving ecosystem of local plant and birdlife.
Inspired by this landscape, Inse is at once delicate and hardy, exuberant and simple. The lacework at the yoke evokes marshy wildflowers and brambles, with hints of the same motif accenting the cuffs and hem.
The elegant neckband transitions seamlessly into the circular yoke design, and can be knitted either to a crew-neck, a mock-neck, or a polo (‘turtle’) neck length. Lightweight, versatile, and straightforward in its construction, Inse is a classic circular yoke pullover.
Note: This is a 2024 update of the original pattern, published in 2018.
