Inner Directed Shawl
Pattern description from Knitting Workshop: “The Inner Directed Shawl is spiraled to the LEFT as described above. The totally random pattern is achieved by erratic Yarn-Overs, but each one compensated for by a DECREASE of one stitch at the same time, so that you don’t lose count.”
“THE INNER-DIRECTED SHAWL spirals to the left, and is finished off with a sideways garter-stitch border. #10.5 needles were used.”
The pattern may be found on pages 120-121 of Knitting Workshop or pg 77 of the updated edition.
