Materials: Fine weight yarn

Yarn: Garnstudio Baby Alpaca Silk (70% alpaca, 30% silk; 183 yards 167 meters/50 grams): 4314 Grey Purple (7 (7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12) balls)

Hook/Needles: US size 4 (3.5 mm) 24” and 32” circular needles; US size 4 (3.5 mm) short circular needles or a set of double pointed needles as you prefer; US size E/4 (3.5 mm) crochet hook.

Notions: Markers, 6 removable markers, stitch holder, 2 cable needles, tapestry needle

Special Stitches include: M1L – make 1 left; M1R – make 1 right; Lifted knot, etc.; Twisted single crochet (video tutorial included)

Construction: The sweater is worked in the round from bottom to underarms on circular needles. The hem is worked with lifted-knot rib, which turns into the pattern panels in front and back, and Stockinette stitch at the sides. The waist shaping worked over Stockinette stitch at the sides of the piece, and can be omitted for a boxy look. At the underarms, the piece is divided for front and back, and finished working flat. The sleeves are worked in the round on short circular needles or double pointed needles and sewn to the main piece with mattress stitch. The sleeves also have a pattern panel running from the lifted-knot rib on the cuff to the shoulder. The neckline is finished with crochet edge.
